A Fish With Human-Like Teeth Was Caught In North Carolina, And It’s Pretty Bizarre

People all over social media are freaking out after a fisherman in North Carolina reeled in a fish with human-like teeth.

 The photo you see was shared all over the internet. Some people actually thought it was photoshopped, but we promise it’s 100% legit.

 In fact, the fish isn’t all that uncommon. They’re called sheepshead fish, and they have several rows of molars for crushing prey. They also like to eat shrimp and oysters, according to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

 Nathan Martin is the man responsible for the viral catch. He had actually been hoping to reel in a sheepshead fish, so you can imagine his excitement when this beauty landed on his hook...

 He told McClatchy News, “

It's a very good fight when you're fighting on the line, it's a really good catch, and it tastes very good.”

 Of course, people on social media had many jokes to make. One user wrote, “This fish has better teeth than me.”

 Honestly, those teeth aren’t too bad. If there happened to be a dental care provider underwater, we can only imagine how beautiful they’d look!

 Personally if I caught one of these fish, I’d feel compelled to throw it back simply because it looks too damn cool to eat. But that’s just me.
